Panel Discussion: “50 Years of the Feminine Mystique:  How Far Have We Come?”

The UW Gender and Women’s Studies Club, the Department of Gender and Women’s Studies, UW – Madison, and the Wisconsin Women’s Network proudly invite you to join in a panel discussion on the 50th anniversary of The Feminine Mystique by Betty Friedan.

The panel will explore what has changed, as well as what hasn’t, in the 50 years since publication of this groundbreaking feminist text.

Jane Collins, Department of Gender and Women’s Studies, former Chair

  • Artful Women Show and Sale

Now through Friday, November 22
Skylight Lounge Gallery, UW Hospitals & Clinics
600 Highland Avenue, Madison WI

All Artful Women artwork will be on display (and for sale!) now through November 22nd at the UW-Hospital Skylight Lounge Gallery (600 Highland Avenue, Madison).  A portion of the proceeds from artwork sold will benefit the Wisconsin Women’s Network!

  • WWN Mentorship Program application deadline extended!

Interested in making a difference in a young woman’s life? Sign up to become part of the Wisconsin Women’s Network’s new Mentorship Program! This program gives you an opportunity to support a young undergraduate woman in navigating her professional goals. The WWN Mentorship Program will match mentors and mentees in a one-year mentor relationship focused on issues relevant to young women who are completing their undergraduate studies and preparing to enter the workforce. Visit our webpage to learn more about this pilot project and how you can become a mentor. Click here to download our mentor application. Know a college student in need of a mentor?
